BİMAR first began operations in 1984 as Arkas's Information Technology Services department.

In 1997, to provide the Arkas Group with world-class professional information technology services, BİMAR Information Technology Services Incorporated was established.

Under the slogan "We've set sail for Change, our course is Unconditional Customer Satisfaction," in 2002 a sweeping restructuring program was instituted.
